“Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you lose it, you can’t get it back”–Harvey Mackey. Relating to epilepsy—spend your valuable, priceless, irreplaceable time wisely fighting to find your ultimate solution for your problems resulting from your case of epilepsy. You must take the lead role.

“If you don’t play to win, why keep score?”–Vern Law. Relating to epilepsy—you want to win this battle so you must keep score. You must keep daily records of medication doses, seizure types, seizure magnitudes, seizure frequency, stress levels, just to name a few. Find someone to help create an EXCEL spreadsheet that will not only hold these details but will also summarize this data by week, month, quarter and year….now you have your details all on one condensed page to monitor, look for trends and review with your doctor. That’s how you “keep score”. This is one of the most important steps I ever made during my life long battle with epilepsy.
